| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mark Sides Sr. of Colona, who passed away | 4 | | on May 29, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mark Sides was born in Moline to Ollis and Norma | 6 | | Davis Sides on July 4, 1964; he served in the U.S. Marine Corps | 7 | | and married Michelle Reddig in Jamaica on August 11, 2001; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Mark Sides worked as a supervisor at IBP for | 9 | | several years; he later worked as a car salesman before | 10 | | becoming a partner in ownership and management of a computer | 11 | | repair and sales shop; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Mark Sides was active with American Legion Post | 13 | | 1233 in Colona and was a fierce advocate for all veterans; he | 14 | | served as Past Commander of the Honor Guard and was the | 15 | | Department of Illinois Public Relations Chairman and the 15th | 16 | | District Commander; he enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley, and | 17 | | spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; | 18 | | and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Mark Sides was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Mark Sides is survived by his wife, Michelle; his | 2 | | children, Mark (Kristina) Sides Jr., Michael Sides, Amy (Marc) | 3 | | Demers, Ricki Sides, Zackary Prescott, and Jeremy Prescott; 12 | 4 | | grandchildren; and his siblings, Carol (Bill) Goings and Gary | 5 | | (Lisa) Sides; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Mark Sides Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Mark Sides as an expression of our | 13 | | deepest sympathy.
