| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph A. Blanco of McHenry and formerly | 4 | | of Peru, who passed away on December 22, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born June 19, 1948, in Milwaukee, | 6 | | Wisconsin, to Joseph J. and Rose M. (Piraino) Blanco; he was | 7 | | proud of having been an Eagle Scout and of his service in the | 8 | | United States Army Reserve; he received his Bachelor's degree | 9 | | in physics and Master's degree in engineering from the | 10 | | University of Illinois, where he was awarded the Bronze Tablet, | 11 | | the highest academic honor bestowed on a U of I student; he | 12 | | received a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul | 13 | | University; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, He retired from Anderson Consulting, where he | 15 | | served in the area of finance, including acquisitions and | 16 | | mergers; most recently, he was working part-time in the special | 17 | | needs department at McHenry County College; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, He was involved in many organizations and had many | 19 | | interests, but most notably, he was a member of St. Mary's | 20 | | Episcopal Church in Crystal Lake, was the volunteer coordinator | 21 | | for PADS in Woodstock, was a member of the Country Gentlemen | 22 | | Barbershop Chorus in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and was a member |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Blanco is survived by his son, Andrew | 4 | | (Joelle) Blanco; his daughter, Jennifer Blanco; his grandson, | 5 | | Max Blanco; his brother, Jeffrey (Susan) Blanco; his sister, | 6 | | Sandra Blanco; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, | 7 | | cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 10 | | his family and friends, the passing of Joseph Blanco; and be it | 11 | | further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Joseph Blanco as a symbol of our | 14 | | sincere sympathy.
