| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Michael L. Hagi, Sr. of Spring Grove, who | 4 | | passed away on April 7, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hagi, Sr. was born on July 7, 1944 in | 6 | | Evanston; his parents were Christian M. Gerber and Virginia | 7 | | Pauly; he was raised by Albert Hagi, Sr.; he married Jacqualine | 8 | | A. Nickels on March 31, 1973; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hagi, Sr. was raised in Chicago and | 10 | | graduated from Lakeview High School; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hagi, Sr. was an entrepreneur in the | 12 | | Spring Grove area for over 30 years; he was the proprietor of | 13 | | Main Street Foods in Spring Grove for over 30 years and the | 14 | | proprietor of Mike's Auto Works since 1994; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hagi, Sr. was a former Captain of the | 16 | | Spring Grove Fire Department and a Fire Prevention Officer; he | 17 | | also served on the Spring Grove School Board; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hagi, Sr. loved cars and spending time | 19 | | with his family; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hagi, Sr. was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents and a sister-in-law, Denise Hagi; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hagi, Sr. is survived by his wife of 42 | 4 | | years, Jackie; 2 children, Michael (Kamie) Hagi, Jr. and Carla | 5 | | (Brad Cooper) Hagi; 2 grandchildren, Giada and Ryan; a sister, | 6 | | Fran (Dale) Johnson; a brother, Al Hagi; and many nieces, | 7 | | nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 10 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael L. Hagi, Sr.; | 11 | | and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Michael Hagi, Sr. as an expression | 14 | | of our sympathy.
