| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sergeant Edward | 4 | | Mangan on the occasion of his retirement after many years of | 5 | | dedicated service with the Village of Worth Police Department; | 6 | | and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Sergeant Ed Mangan was born in September of 1959; | 8 | | he married Colleen Ann Mangan in November of 1983; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ed and Colleen Mangan are the proud parents of | 10 | | three children, Riley, Bill, and Eddy; their son, Bill, | 11 | | currently serves in the United States Air Force; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ed Mangan was hired by the Village of Worth Police | 13 | | Department on February 20, 1989; he graduated from the Chicago | 14 | | Police Academy on July 9, 1989; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Ed Mangan proudly served in the Patrol and | 16 | | Investigations Divisions, where he was promoted to Sergeant of | 17 | | Police on December 5, 2006; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Ed Mangan has received several awards, including | 19 | | numerous commendations, honorable mentions, and letters of | 20 | | recognition for his dedicated and professional service; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Ed Mangan has faithfully served the residents of | 2 | | the Village of Worth for 22 years and seven months; and | 3 | | WHEREAS, Ed Mangan will retire from the Worth Police | 4 | | Department on October 1, 2011; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 6 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 7 | | we congratulate Sergeant Ed Mangan on his retirement, thank him | 8 | | for his many years of service protecting his community, and | 9 | | wish him and his family many years of happiness to come; and be | 10 | | it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to Ed Mangan as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
