| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Lee Barrett; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Lee Barrett was born on December 11, 1937 in | 5 | | Camden, New Jersey; his parents were Frank and Grace Barrett; | 6 | | he married Carmen Rivera on April 15, 1966; he and his wife | 7 | | made their home in the Dundee area for the past 39 years; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Lee Barrett was a professional registered | 9 | | engineer with extensive experience in mechanical and | 10 | | electrical engineering; he was the President, owner, and | 11 | | operator of Barrett Engineering, Inc. in East Dundee; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Lee Barrett served his country as a member of the | 13 | | United States Army's Tank Corps and 82nd Airborne Division; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Lee Barrett was a member of AMVETS Post #202; he | 15 | | was a proud and loyal member of the Republican Party, an active | 16 | | part of Kane County politics, and a former member of the Kane | 17 | | County Board in District 21; he was a Precinct Committeeman for | 18 | | many years and a member and former officer of the Dundee | 19 | | Township Republican Central Committee; he was also a member of | 20 | | the Wicker Park Lutheran Church in Chicago; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Lee Barrett was preceded in death by his parents; | 2 | | 2 brothers, Lloyd and Ernest; and a sister, Arlene Roloson; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Lee Barrett is survived by his wife of 49 years, | 4 | | Carmen; 2 daughters, Leigh and Eileen; a granddaughter, Taylor; | 5 | | a brother, Frank (Roberta) Barrett; and many nieces, nephews, | 6 | | and friends; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 9 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Lee Barrett; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Lee Barrett as an expression of our | 13 | | sympathy.
