| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Michael Garvin Boyle, formerly of Peoria, | 4 | | who passed away on May 7, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Michael Boyle was born in Lafayette, Indiana on | 6 | | January 31, 1947; he graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a | 7 | | Master of Science in Psychology from Bradley University; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Michael Boyle was a Fellow of The University of | 9 | | Chicago and was working as a senior innovation officer and | 10 | | researcher for the University of Wisconsin-Madison while | 11 | | living in Lakewood Ranch, Florida; he was the former President | 12 | | and CEO of the Human Service Center of Peoria; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Michael Boyle was a founding member of the Network | 14 | | for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment and the National | 15 | | Addiction Technology Transfer Center's The Bridge; he worked as | 16 | | an adviser of policy for the United Nations and consulted with | 17 | | the federal government on national mental health and substance | 18 | | abuse governmental policy and procedure; he was a member of the | 19 | | North Peoria Rotary, as well as many professional psychology | 20 | | organizations; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Michael Boyle is survived by his wife, Laura |

| 1 | | Simpson-Boyle; his son, Sean Michael Boyle, Ph.D.; his | 2 | | daughter-in-law, Lynn Boyle, Ph.D.; and his half-siblings, | 3 | | Jennifer, Jackie, Jeff, and Kurt Boyle; therefore, be it
| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 | | Michael Garvin Boyle, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 7 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 8 | | further
