| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Virginia | 4 | | Weaver of Peoria, who passed away on June 3, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver was born in Eureka; her parents | 6 | | were Ora and Ella Garber; she married Robert Weaver on June 3, | 7 | | 1945; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, After graduating from Peoria High School, | 9 | | Virginia Weaver worked at Buehler Home in the accounting | 10 | | department; the skills she acquired there served her well as a | 11 | | founding partner of what would become Weaver Enterprises; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver loved flowers, particularly | 13 | | planning, developing, and working in her perennial gardens; she | 14 | | and her husband were well known in the horse coaching and | 15 | | carriage world; she also enjoyed spending time with her family; | 16 | | and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver served as a Sunday school teacher | 18 | | and church treasurer for many years; in her later years, she | 19 | | attended the First United Methodist Church; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver and her husband were jointly |

| 1 | | honored as the Association of Fundraising Professionals | 2 | | Philanthropists of the Year; they were also Easter Seals | 3 | | Tribute Dinner honorees; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver was preceded in death by her | 5 | | husband of 69 years, Robert; her parents; and her sister, | 6 | | Shirley Roth; and | 7 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver is survived by 5 children, Jerry | 8 | | (Nancy) Weaver, Phyllis (Don) Crouch, Steve (Shelley) Weaver, | 9 | | Karen (Bob Vespa) Weaver, and Charles (Laurie) Weaver; 20 | 10 | | grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 12 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 13 | | we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of | 14 | | Virginia Weaver; and be it further
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 16 | | presented to the family of Virginia Weaver as an expression of | 17 | | our sympathy.
