| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas Charles Roser, who passed away on | 4 | | September 25, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was born on April 15, 1936 in | 6 | | Libertyville; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser served his country as a member of the | 8 | | United States Army from 1959 to 1965; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was employed as a civil servant for | 10 | | many years until his retirement in 1994 as chief of the Plans | 11 | | Division for the Department of Defense; he also served on the | 12 | | Waukegan Special Police Force for 10 years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was an avid Harley Davidson | 14 | | enthusiast for many years; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was preceded in death by his parents, | 16 | | Julia (Schmidt) and William Thomas Roser, and his brothers, | 17 | | William J. Roser and Jacob Brefeld; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser is survived by his loving wife, Mary | 19 | | Jo (Stripe) Roser; his children, Michelle (Greg) Major, Pamela |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 7 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Charles Roser; | 8 | | and be it further
