| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mavis M. Landsverk of Wadsworth, who | 4 | | passed away on March 28, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mavis Landsverk was born in Waukegan on April 16, | 6 | | 1934; she grew up in North Chicago and graduated from Waukegan | 7 | | High School in 1952; she married Donald Landsverk in 1960 and | 8 | | they lived for many years in North Chicago; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Mavis Landsverk was a full time homemaker, but in | 10 | | her earlier years she worked for Johnson Motors in Waukegan and | 11 | | Neal Junior High School in North Chicago; she volunteered for | 12 | | over a decade with the St. Therese Hospital Hospice Care | 13 | | Program and assisted with a women's shelter in Gurnee; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Mavis Landsverk loved gardening, going to | 15 | | concerts, craft fairs, and most of all spending time with her | 16 | | family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Mavis Landsverk was preceded in death by her | 19 | | husband, Donald; her son, Steven; her mother, Valerie Lerm; and | 20 | | her father, George Johnson; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Mavis Landsverk is survived by her sons, Scott | 2 | | (Renee), Brian (Lori), and Stuart (Julie); her | 3 | | daughter-in-law, Suzanne (Steven); her stepdaughter, Connie | 4 | | (Bob) Besanson; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, | 5 | | Andrew, Eric, Jack, Nathan Clark, Brett Clark, Addison Clark, | 6 | | Lisa Besanson, Robert Besanson, and Zach, Sarah, and Lilly | 7 | | Landsverk; her sister-in-law, Barbara Uttormark; and brothers | 8 | | and sisters, cousins, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Mavis M. Landsverk, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
