| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of
the | 4 | | Nashville Community High School softball team, the Hornets, on | 5 | | winning the Illinois High School Association Class 2A State | 6 | | Championship; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Hornets defeated Brimfield High
School 1 to 0 | 8 | | in a hard-fought battle after a terrific season;
the team | 9 | | finished the season with an impressive record of 39 wins and 2 | 10 | | losses; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, The championship game was a classic
example of a | 12 | | pitchers duel as the 2 teams battled until the Hornets finally | 13 | | scored the game
winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning to | 14 | | win 1 to 0; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, The Hornets are Paige Kasten, Emily Thompson, | 16 | | Brooke Burcham,
Jordi Harre, Brooke Bartling, Mackenzie | 17 | | McFeron, Alli
Liske, Daley Buchanan, Jordan Stiegman, Karly | 18 | | Stanowski,
Joey Lane, Dakota Hunter, Maci Ingram, and Deidra
| 19 | | Holzhauer; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, The head coach of the Hornets is Dempsey Witte, | 21 | | who has
coached girls softball at Nashville High School for 5

Patrick | 2 | | Weathers, Wayne Harre, and Charles Heck; therefore, be it
| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 4 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 5 | | congratulate the members of the Nashville Community High School | 6 | | softball team, the Hornets, on winning the Illinois High School | 7 | | Association Class 2A State Championship and we wish them many | 8 | | more years of continued success; and be it further
