| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Leontyne | 4 | | Reese Tabb, who passed away on October 15, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leontyne Tabb was born to Albert Lee Sr. and | 6 | | Florence
Wright on July 21, 1941; she began her education in | 7 | | Greenwood, Mississippi and then relocated to Chicago, where she | 8 | | graduated high school; she also
graduated from South Suburban | 9 | | College with a degree in elementary education; she was married | 10 | | to her high school sweetheart Alton Reese Jr. until his death; | 11 | | in 1981, she married Adell Tabb; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Leontyne Tabb was a member of St. Luke Church of | 13 | | God in Christ, where she was a member of the Usher
Board and | 14 | | Mother's Board; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Leontyne Tabb was preceded in death by her | 16 | | parents; her first husband, Alton; her second husband, Adell; | 17 | | and her brothers, Albert Jr. and John; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Leontyne Tabb is survived by her mother-in-love, | 19 | | Mollie Ann Tabb; her sons, Alton Reese, Albert
Reese | 20 | | (Gwendolyn), and Anthony Reese; her bonus daughters, Ann Harris | 21 | | and
Tina Tabb; her aunts, Martha Baker, Priscilla McNair, and |

Reese, Amber Reese, Arielle Reese, and Myles Reese; her | 6 | | great-grandchildren,

neighbors; therefore, | 8 | | be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 10 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 11 | | mourn the passing of Leontyne Reese Tabb, and extend our | 12 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | 13 | | and loved her; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Leontyne Tabb as an expression of | 16 | | our deepest sympathy.
