| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Norman D. Sies of Gillespie, who passed | 4 | | away on January 28, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Norman Sies was born in Staunton to Carl H. and | 6 | | Opal (Chapman) Sies on December 3, 1946; he served in the | 7 | | United States Army during Vietnam; he married Joyce M. Keirle; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Norman Sies worked as a railroad laborer; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Norman Sies was preceded in death by his parents; | 11 | | his daughter, Marla Kay Sies; and his brothers, Art Sies and | 12 | | Gary Sies; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Norman Sies is survived by his wife, Joyce; his | 14 | | daughters, Katina (Chester) Weller and Khara (Brian) Cox; his | 15 | | grandchildren, Matthew S. Davis II, Kirklund A. Davis, Mason D. | 16 | | Weller, and Brilynn H. Cox; his great-grandchildren, Kysen S. | 17 | | Davis and Daisy Lilly-Ann Roberts-Davis; his sister, Carla | 18 | | (Jerry) Weatherford; and his brothers-in-law and | 19 | | sisters-in-law, Randy and Mary Ellen Keirle, Terry and Gayla | 20 | | Crites, and Leo and Audrey Pottebaum; therefore, be it
