| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Deputy | 4 | | Christina M. "Beana" Musil, who was killed in the line of duty | 5 | | on March 29, 2024; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Musil was born to Philip and Diane | 7 | | Caporaso on August 17, 1988, a beacon of joy and resilience; | 8 | | and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Musil dedicated her time to bettering the | 10 | | communities of Dekalb County as a deputy of the Dekalb County | 11 | | Sheriff's Office; and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Musil was a passionate fan of the New York | 13 | | Yankees and the New Jersey Devils, but her truest enthusiasm | 14 | | as a fan was reserved for watching her children compete in | 15 | | their youth sport organizations; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Musil served in the U.S. Army National | 17 | | Guard, which included a tour of duty in Afghanistan from 2008 | 18 | | to 2009; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Musil will be remembered as an incredible | 20 | | woman with a magnetic personality, a ready laugh, and a |

| 1 | | selfless spirit; and | 2 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Musil is survived by her children, Zoe, | 3 | | Genevieve, and Cillin; her parents; her siblings, Bridgette | 4 | | Caporaso and Anthony Caporaso; and additional family members | 5 | | and friends; therefore, be it | 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 7 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 8 | | we mourn the passing of Deputy Christina M. "Beana" Musil and | 9 | | extend our sincere condolences to her family, the Dekalb | 10 | | County Sheriff's Office, and all those who knew and loved her; | 11 | | and be it further | 12 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the Dekalb County Sheriff's Office and her family | 14 | | as an expression of our deepest sympathy. |
