| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jesse B. Vazquez of Montgomery, who | 4 | | passed away on January 12, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez graduated from West Aurora High | 6 | | School and attended Waubonsee Community College; he joined the | 7 | | United States Marine Corps in 1984 and was honorably discharged | 8 | | in 1988 as a Corporal; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez was highly respected as the area | 10 | | sales manager at Performance Food Group; he was also employed | 11 | | by the City of Aurora in the Youth Activity Department; he had | 12 | | over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez represented District 8 on the Kane | 14 | | County Board; while on the board, he served on the Committee of | 15 | | the Whole, the Agriculture Committee, the Energy and | 16 | | Environmental Committee, the Jobs Committee, the Legislative | 17 | | Committee, the Public Health Committee, and the Public Service | 18 | | Committee; he worked for Congressman George E. Sangmeister as | 19 | | his Aurora office manager; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez was a member of the Board of | 21 | | Directors of the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce and a |

| 1 | | former President of INC Boards, NFP (formerly Mental Health and | 2 | | Mental Retardation Services, Inc.); he also served on the East | 3 | | Aurora Task Force, the Montgomery Planning Commission, and the | 4 | | Fox Valley Freeway Advisory Committee; he co-founded Partners | 5 | | in Health (Companeros en Salud); and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez was a member of The Roman Catholic | 7 | | Church of St. Peter in Aurora; he and his wife, Maria, have 3 | 8 | | children, Eric, Michael, and Veronica; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Jesse B. Vazquez, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Jesse Vazquez as an expression of | 16 | | our deepest sympathy.
