| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Edward P. Jackson of Harvard, who passed | 4 | | away on June 21, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edward Jackson was born in McHenry on November 8, | 6 | | 1931 to Ford and Mayme Jackson; he married Adeline Golbeck at | 7 | | St. Marys Church in McHenry on May 24, 1952; he served 4 years | 8 | | in the United States Navy; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Edward Jackson was self-employed for many years as | 10 | | a construction and asphalt paving contractor; he also worked | 11 | | for the State of Illinois Tollway, retiring in 1990; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Edward Jackson served on the Woodstock City | 13 | | Council for nearly 8 years; he was involved in sports and | 14 | | coached the basketball team St. Mary's School in Woodstock for | 15 | | many years; he enjoyed golf, fishing, dabbling in real estate, | 16 | | and going to auctions; his favorite past time was sitting | 17 | | outside on Geralynn and Dan's front porch with their 3 dogs; | 18 | | and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Edward Jackson was proceeded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his brothers, Joe, George, Art, and Jim; and his 3 | 21 | | sisters, Constance May, Marie Huntington, and Kathryn |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Edward Jackson is survived by his loving wife, | 3 | | Adeline; his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Geralynn and Dan | 4 | | Wood; his sisters-in-law, Glorice and Sandra Jackson; his | 5 | | nieces and nephews; and his grand-dogs, Bentley, Dexter, and | 6 | | Lily; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Edward P. Jackson, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Edward Jackson as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy.
