| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William "Bill" Francis Collins of Crystal | 4 | | Lake, who passed away on July 10, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Collins was born on May 26, 1920 in | 6 | | Chicago; his parents were John and Margaret (nee Condon) | 7 | | Collins; he married LaVonne Bigelow in 1952; together, they | 8 | | raised 5 children in the Crystal Lake area since 1963; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, William Collins lived his early years on the south | 10 | | side of Chicago, graduating from St. Rita High School; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, William Collins proudly served his country as a | 12 | | member of the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, William Collins enjoyed books, his favorite | 14 | | sports teams, a good Scotch, and spending time with his family | 15 | | and friends; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, William Collins was preceded in death by his wife | 17 | | of 32 years, LaVonne; a grandson; a sister, Margaret; and his | 18 | | parents; and
