| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Everett L. Paxton of Silvis, who | 4 | | passed away on January 11, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Everett Paxton was born to Roy and Ethel Wiseman | 6 | | Paxton in Linby, Iowa on July 24, 1923; he married Lois I. | 7 | | Crane in Farson, Iowa on July 22, 1944, and she preceded him in | 8 | | death on April 20, 2014; he served in the U.S. Navy during | 9 | | World War II; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Everett Paxton worked as an assembler for John | 11 | | Deere; he retired in 1988; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Everett Paxton enjoyed creating stained glass, | 13 | | doing yard work, and camping; he also enjoyed wintering in | 14 | | Texas; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Everett Paxton was preceded in death by his wife, | 16 | | one grandson, three brothers, and two sisters; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Everett Paxton is survived by his sons, William | 18 | | (Teresa) Paxton and Donald (Jeannie) Paxton; his five | 19 | | grandchildren; his 13 great-grandchildren; his five | 20 | | great-great-grandchildren; and his brother, Clayborn "Parker" |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Everett L. Paxton and extend our sincere condolences to his | 5 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 6 | | further
| 7 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 8 | | presented to the family of Everett Paxton as an expression of | 9 | | our deepest sympathy.
