| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joahn "Jonnie" Vickery of Spring Grove, | 4 | | who passed away on June 29, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joahn Vickery was born in Washington, D.C. on | 6 | | February 5, 1944 to Ralph and Ardyth (nee Preice) Lohrke; she | 7 | | married David A. Vickery on August 14, 1965 at Santa Maria del | 8 | | Popolo Catholic Church in Mundelein; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Joahn Vickery was an active member of St. John the | 10 | | Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg, where she had been the | 11 | | church secretary, head of the Bereavement Ministry, a volunteer | 12 | | for the Homebound Ministry, and a Eucharistic Minister; she was | 13 | | a Woman of Inspiration for St. John the Baptist Catholic | 14 | | Church, through the McHenry County Deanery; she enjoyed | 15 | | holidays with her family and making large meals; her all-time | 16 | | favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz and she enjoyed Irish | 17 | | music; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Joahn Vickery was preceded in death by her | 19 | | husband, David; her parents; her grandson, Triston; her father | 20 | | and mother-in-law, Ralph and Viola Vickery; and her | 21 | | brother-in-law, Gerald Meyer; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Joahn Vickery is survived by her children, Jon | 2 | | Vickery, Jennifer (Peter) Walker, and Jason Vickery; her | 3 | | grandsons, Damian, Stephen, Devin, and Nicholas; her brothers, | 4 | | David, Ralph, and Scott Lohrke; her sisters-in-law, Arlene | 5 | | (Donald) Haun and Darlene Meyer; and many nieces and nephews; | 6 | | therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Joahn "Jonnie" Vickery, and extend our sincere condolences to | 10 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 11 | | further
