| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph G. "Jerry" Driscoll of Peoria, who | 4 | | passed away on June 27, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Driscoll was born on January 27, 1933 in | 6 | | Peoria; his parents were Joseph Driscoll and Antoinette (nee | 7 | | Sheehan) Driscoll; he married Eleanor Capranica on June 21, | 8 | | 1958 at St. John's Catholic Church in Peoria; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Driscoll graduated from St. Bernard Grade | 10 | | School and Spalding High School with the Class of 1951; he | 11 | | later received both his bachelor's degree in history and | 12 | | master's degree in political science from Bradley University; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Driscoll served his country as a member of | 15 | | the United States Army during the Korean War; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Driscoll taught in School District 150 for | 17 | | over 30 years; he also taught at Illinois Community College and | 18 | | Bradley University; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Driscoll was a former Knights of Columbus - | 20 | | St. Jude Council member and was actively involved in the |

| 1 | | Kiwanis Club; and | 2 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Driscoll was preceded in death by his | 3 | | parents; a son, Patrick Edward; and a brother, Jack Driscoll; | 4 | | and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Driscoll is survived by his wife, Eleanor; | 6 | | 5 children, Danny (Erin) Driscoll, Fr. Mike Driscoll, Kelly | 7 | | Driscoll, Mary Ann (Dave) Carroll, and Patrick Anthony | 8 | | Driscoll; 8 grandchildren, Tommy, Billy, Molly, Maggie, and | 9 | | Delaney Driscoll and Joelle, Jimmy, and Kate Carroll; a | 10 | | sister-in-law, Toni Driscoll; and many nieces and nephews; | 11 | | therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph G. "Jerry" | 15 | | Driscoll; and be it further
