| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Todd J. Middendorf of Carpentersville, | 4 | | who passed away on July 18, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf was born in Dubuque, Iowa to | 6 | | Gerald J. and Barbara E. (O'Connor) Middendorf on December 21, | 7 | | 1970; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf began his career in fire service | 9 | | in 1992 as a volunteer with the Hazel Green Fire Department in | 10 | | Hazel Green, Wisconsin, where he served until 1994; he then | 11 | | became a fulltime firefighter and was employed by the Village | 12 | | of Carpentersville for almost 24 years, rising through the | 13 | | ranks to battalion chief; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf was a member of St. Margaret Mary | 15 | | Catholic Church in Algonquin; he was an avid fan of the Green | 16 | | Bay Packers and NASCAR; he fulfilled his dream for retirement | 17 | | by purchasing a home in Tennessee; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf was preceded in death by his | 19 | | maternal and paternal grandparents; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf is survived by his wife of 10 |

| 1 | | years, Daisy Morales Middendorf; his son, Tyler; his parents; | 2 | | his siblings, Troy (Brenda) and Tim (Emily) Middendorf, Tami | 3 | | (Matt) DeMuth, and Tara (Eric) Budde; his mother-in-law and | 4 | | father-in-law, Ramon and Caridad Morales; his sister-in-law, | 5 | | Lourdes Morales; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, | 6 | | including all the area fire service professionals; therefore, | 7 | | be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Todd J. Middendorf, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
