| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Vernon LeRoy "Vern" Lytle of Pawnee, | 4 | | who passed away on January 21, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Vern Lytle was born to Glen E. and Jannie M. Davis | 6 | | Lytle in New Plymouth, Idaho on December 19, 1936; he served in | 7 | | the U.S. Navy; he married Nancy JoAnn Edwards at the Pawnee | 8 | | Assembly of God Church in Pawnee on September 1, 1961, and she | 9 | | preceded him in death in 2012; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Vern Lytle owned Vern's Chatham 66 Garage in | 11 | | Chatham for over 30 years and delivered the State | 12 | | Journal-Register to rural Pawnee for more than 30 years; he | 13 | | was a hard worker and generous with his time, talents, and | 14 | | resources; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Vern Lytle was a member of the Pawnee Assembly of | 16 | | God Church, where he was active as a member of the church | 17 | | board, the Sonseekers senior group, the Royal Rangers, and the | 18 | | church's bus ministries; he loved his church family and | 19 | | Southern Gospel music; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Vern Lytle was preceded in death by his parents; | 21 | | his wife, Nancy; his sisters, Betty Dearmont and Dorothy |

| 1 | | McCormick; his brothers, Clay, Lloyd, and Calvin Lytle; and an | 2 | | infant sibling; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Vern Lytle is survived by his daughter, Robin E. | 4 | | (Gibb) Vinson; his son, Lamoin E. (Debbie) Lytle; his | 5 | | grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Sarah, Shane, and Tucker; three | 6 | | great-grandchildren; his sister, Leona Schlunsen; his brother, | 7 | | Glen Lytle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Vernon LeRoy "Vern" Lytle and extend our sincere condolences | 12 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 13 | | it further
