| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Francis Joseph "Frank" Sauser of Rock | 4 | | Island, who passed away on December 10, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Frank Sauser was born in Cascade, Iowa to Joseph | 6 | | F. and Mary R. (White) Sauser on October 24, 1946; he graduated | 7 | | from Aquin High School in Cascade in 1964 and served in the | 8 | | U.S. Navy as a submariner aboard the USS John Marshall from | 9 | | 1965 until 1971; he earned his Master of Business | 10 | | Administration in Finance from Boston University in 1977; he | 11 | | married Barbara Cox in 1983 and earned his law degree from the | 12 | | University of Iowa in 1985; he married Diana Logsdon in Moline | 13 | | on September 1, 2007; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Frank Sauser practiced law in Dubuque, Iowa from | 15 | | 1985 until 1987; he served as the claims legal counsel for | 16 | | Bituminous Insurance in Rock Island from 1995 until his | 17 | | retirement in 2014; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Frank Sauser enjoyed golfing and was a member of | 19 | | the Pinnacle Country Club in Milan; he also enjoyed ballroom | 20 | | dancing with the No Name Dance Club at the Rock Island Arsenal | 21 | | and the Renaissance Dance Club at the Short Hills Country Club; | 22 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Frank Sauser was preceded in death by his parents | 2 | | and his brothers, Thomas J. and Joseph N. Sauser; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Frank Sauser is survived by his wife, Diana; his | 4 | | daughter, Katherine (Anthony) Phillips; his granddaughters, | 5 | | Alexandra and Josephine Phillips; his siblings, Steve (Barb) | 6 | | Sauser, Margaret (Joe) Noonan, Anne (Ron Carpenter) Sutter, | 7 | | Allan (Doris) Sauser, Mary Jane (Dan) Driscoll, Ed (Joan) | 8 | | Sauser, Ray (Jane) Sauser, Bill (Vickie) Sauser, and Joan | 9 | | Sauser; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Francis Joseph "Frank" Sauser and extend our sincere | 13 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 14 | | him; and be it further
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 16 | | presented to the family of Frank Sauser as an expression of our | 17 | | deepest sympathy.
