| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Carol Jean Butler Sackman, who passed | 4 | | away on January 31, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Carol Sackman was born to George and Jenny Butler; | 6 | | she graduated from Waukegan Township High School and worked for | 7 | | Johns-Manville for many years; she married LeRoy W. Sackman; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Carol Sackman was a member of the board of the | 10 | | Waukegan Public Library, the Garden Club, and the symphony | 11 | | choir; she was an artist, a craftsperson, and a | 12 | | do-it-yourselfer; she was an avid golfer for most of her life; | 13 | | she was a past club champion at Glen Flora Country Club where | 14 | | she played team play and participated on the GFCC's women's | 15 | | tennis club; she enjoyed Bridge and played in a club with her | 16 | | friends for over 50 years; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Carol Sackman was a member of the Village Church | 18 | | of Gurnee; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Carol Sackman was preceded in death by her | 20 | | sisters, Violet, Phyllis, and Vivian; and her brother, David; | 21 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Carol Sackman is survived by husband of 59 years, | 2 | | Lee; her son, Gary (Joyce); her daughters, Lori and Jean (Rob); | 3 | | her sisters, Ruth, Yvonne, and Joanne; her sister-in-law, Mary | 4 | | Ann; her 7 grandsons; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, | 5 | | and friends; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Carol Sackman, and we extend our sincere condolences to her | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 10 | | further
