| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Walter E. Schultz of McHenry, who passed | 4 | | away on January 27, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was born in Joliet on September 24, | 6 | | 1944 to Walter E. and Geraldine J. (nee Breen) Schultz; he | 7 | | graduated from Richmond High School and married Kathleen L. | 8 | | Smith at St. Patrick Church in McHenry on September 18, 1965; | 9 | | he served in the United States Army in Korea and settled in | 10 | | McHenry in 1967; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was employed by Modine, Grafon, | 12 | | Osgood, and Abbott, where he was responsible for the | 13 | | development of machinery; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was a member of the McHenry Country | 15 | | Club, where joined the hole-in-one club after achieving the | 16 | | feat on the 18th hole; in addition to golf, he enjoyed | 17 | | traveling, caring for his lawn and garden, entertaining, and | 18 | | pairing great wines with great recipes; he was a longtime | 19 | | member of St. Patrick Church; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Walter Schultz was preceded in death by his | 21 | | father; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Walter Schultz is survived by his wife of 48 | 2 | | years, Kathleen; his children, Keith (Angela Kollenkark) | 3 | | Schultz and Wendy (Scott) Richardson; his mother, Geraldine | 4 | | Schultz; his brothers, David (the late Amy) Schultz, Stephen | 5 | | Schultz, and Gregory (Ann) Schultz; and his sister, Janis | 6 | | Schultz; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Walter E. Schultz, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Walter Schultz as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy.
