| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jacob | 4 |
| Pugh of Chicago, who passed away on February 16, 2010; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob Pugh was born February 1, 1936 in Grand | 6 |
| Junction, Tennessee; he was the son of Coy and Lucille Pugh; | 7 |
| and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob was educated in the Tennessee school system | 9 |
| and later relocated to Chicago; he served his country as a | 10 |
| member of the United States Army; after his honorable discharge | 11 |
| from the armed services, Jacob worked at International | 12 |
| Harvester; following his Harvester employment, Jacob was | 13 |
| employed at his brother-in-law Emmit Petty's Accounting and Tax | 14 |
| Service for 18 years; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob was a quick study and learned the ins and | 16 |
| outs of the tax business; he started his own independent tax | 17 |
| service and worked at it until his health failed; and
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and | 19 |
| Lucille Pugh; his brothers, Robert and James Pugh; and his | 20 |
| sister, Alberta Pugh (Lady); and

| WHEREAS, Jacob Pugh leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, | 2 |
| Christine Pugh; his son, Alan Pugh; his sisters, Angeline | 3 |
| Lashey and Dorothy Petty; and his grandson, Robert; he also | 4 |
| leaves a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, | 5 |
| nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
| 6 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 7 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 8 |
| mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Jacob | 9 |
| Pugh; and be it further
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 |
| presented to the family of Jacob Pugh as a symbol of our | 12 |
| sincere sympathy.
