| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Patricia Eileen "Pat" Wiggers of | 4 | | Springfield, who passed away on August 29, 2010; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born March 16, 1935 in Decatur to Warren | 6 | | T. and Mary Alice Gibson French; she attended elementary | 7 | | schools in Indiana and eastern Illinois; she graduated from | 8 | | Tuscola High School in 1953; she later graduated from | 9 | | Decatur-Macon County Memorial Hospital in 1956, where she | 10 | | earned her degree in Nursing; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, She married Milton Wiggers in Springfield on | 12 | | September 8, 1957; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, As a registered nurse, she was employed by | 14 | | Illinois State School in Lincoln; she continued her nursing | 15 | | profession with Springfield Clinic, Memorial Hospital, Dr. | 16 | | William White, and Doctors Hospital in the Springfield area | 17 | | until her retirement; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, She was a longtime devoted member of the Northside | 19 | | United Methodist Church in Springfield; she was a member of the | 20 | | United Methodist Women, and worked countless hours in service | 21 | | for the church; she was a great cook, and could be found in the |

| 1 | | kitchen of the church preparing meals for many events; she was | 2 | | also an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress, and loved to | 3 | | knit, making blankets and back packs for mission outreach | 4 | | projects through the church; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Her parents and her brother, John T. French, | 6 | | preceded her in death; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Wiggers is survived by her husband; her | 8 | | children, Mark (wife Patty) Wiggers, Doug (wife Carol) Wiggers, | 9 | | and Deborah (husband T. Richard "Rick") Bilyeu; her five | 10 | | grandchildren, Maria Bilyeu, Thomas Bilyeu III, Elizabeth Ann | 11 | | Wiggers, Matthew Bilyeu, and Timothy Wiggers; her great | 12 | | grandson, Tyree White; and her sister; Barbara French; | 13 | | therefore, be it
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 16 | | her family and friends, the passing of Patricia Wiggers; and be | 17 | | it further
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 19 | | presented to the family of Patricia Wiggers as a symbol of our | 20 | | sincere sympathy.
