| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Raymond W. Webster of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on October 1, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Webster was born to Walter and Emma (Arp) | 6 | | Webster on April 28, 1924; he served in the United States Army | 7 | | from 1943 to 1946 and was stationed in England and France; he | 8 | | married Phyllis Stubbe on May 27, 1950; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Webster was employed at Miller Container | 10 | | Corp before starting his own business, Webster Steel Rule Dye, | 11 | | which he operated for 40 years; he served as Blackhawk Township | 12 | | Assessor for nine years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Webster's memberships included the | 14 | | V.F.W., the American Legion, and the Rock Island Elks; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Webster was preceded in death by his wife, | 16 | | Phyllis; his parents; his brothers, George, John, and Walter | 17 | | Jr.; and his sisters, Helen Bottoni, Betty Melody Luckenbihl, | 18 | | and Bernice Baker; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Webster is survived by his sister, Mary | 20 | | Baker and Donna (James) Nelson; several nieces and nephews; and |

| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | Raymond W. Webster, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 6 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 7 | | further
