| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply | 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of Alice M. Bunce of Aurora, who | 4 | | passed away on October 27, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Alice Bunce was born on January 31, 1921, in | 6 | | Brooklyn, New York to Enea and Maria Mazzotti; she married | 7 | | Merritt Morse in October of 1942, who was killed in action | 8 | | while serving his country in France during World War II; she | 9 | | married Roger Bunce in 1947, and spent time living in North | 10 | | Carolina, Virginia, New Mexico, and New York while he was in | 11 | | the military; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Alice Bunce always maintained an active family | 13 | | life; she was a gifted artist and worked as a fashion | 14 | | illustrator for Lane Bryant in New York; she was a selfless, | 15 | | devoted mother and wife to her family; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Alice Bunce was preceded in death by her parents, | 17 | | Enea and Maria Mazzotti; her first husband, Merritt Morse; her | 18 | | second husband, Roger Bunce; her son, Gary Bunce; and her two | 19 | | half-brothers, Leo and Charles Mazzotti; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Alice Bunce is survived by her sons, Art Bunce and | 21 | | Nathan "Billy" Combs; her daughter, Joanne (Richard) Jaycox; |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Alice Bunce, and we extend our sincere condolences to her | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Alice Bunce as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
