| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply | 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of Janet M. Cesar of Waukegan, | 4 | | who passed away on September 22, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Janet Cesar grew up in Chicago and attended St. | 6 | | Priscilla School and Notre Dame High School for Girls; she | 7 | | received a bachelor's of science degree in international | 8 | | business and language from St. Norbert College, where she met | 9 | | her husband, Bob, with whom she had two children, Jessica and | 10 | | Daniel; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Janet Cesar began her career in business before | 12 | | finding her real passion, teaching children; she earned a | 13 | | master's degree in teaching from National Lewis University and | 14 | | was a teacher at Greenwood Elementary for 18 years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Janet Cesar was active in the community as a CCD | 16 | | teacher, girl scout leader, school board member, and a | 17 | | eucharistic minister at St. Anastasia Parish and volunteered | 18 | | her talents for many years in the Waukegan Room at Carmel | 19 | | Catholic High School Street Scenes; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Janet Cesar loved the outdoors; she spent summers | 21 | | at her cabin in upper Michigan, kayaking, fishing, and making |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Janet Cesar is survived by her husband of 35 | 3 | | years, Bob; her children Jessica and Daniel; her sisters, | 4 | | Kathryn (Anthony) Calabrese and Mary Nyland; her brothers, John | 5 | | Gastaldello and Ray Gastaldello; and numerous aunts, | 6 | | sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and | 7 | | friends; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Janet Cesar, and we extend our sincere condolences to her | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 12 | | further
