SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sharon L. Dyer, who passed away on June 2, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Dyer was born to Shirley and Nellie (Landers) Wood on May 26, 1940; she married James "Tike" Dyer on July 1, 1978; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Dyer was formerly employed by Thrifty Drugs and Joe's Pizza; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Dyer cherished spending time with her grandchildren; she enjoyed gambling and playing Bingo; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Dyer was affectionately known as "Bubbles"; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Dyer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughters, Brenda Greenslade and Sherry Rath; and several brothers and sisters; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Dyer is survived by her children, Missy (Bob) Campbell, Renee Saccaro, and David (Barbie) Greenslade; her children's father, David V. Greenslade; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her sister, Wanda "Peaches" Canady; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sharon L. Dyer and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sharon Dyer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
