SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tracy (Caffrey) Ponce of Collinsville, who passed away on April 27, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born May 1, 1971; Tracy's daughter, Riley, was everything to her; taking care of her was one of her greatest joys in life; Tracy was a secretary for Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, where she was a member and volunteered much of her time; she taught Sunday School at the church; and

WHEREAS, Her interests included scrapbooking, cooking, and photography; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her daughter, surviving are her husband, Eric Ponce, who she married September 28, 1998, in Collinsville; her parents, James (Barb) Caffrey and Beverly (Mike) Mowe; her brother, Matthew Mowe; her stepbrothers, Michael (Courtney) Wesley and their children, Jacqueline, Ayden, and Hudson, and Stephen (Patty) Wesley; her stepsister, Erin Wesley; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Robin Ponce; her brother-in-law, Brandon Ponce and girlfriend, Jessica Morman, and her son, Kaden; her grandparents on Eric's side, Lawrence (Donna) Ponce and Ronald and Marylou Malwitz; her stepgrandmother, Laverne Krawczyk; her special friends, Jen and Joe Maher; and her many aunts and uncles; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Tracy Ponce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tracy Ponce as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
