SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tyrone Lawyer Kindle of Plymouth, Minnesota, who passed away on June 19, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Tyrone Kindle was born on April 12, 1961; he and his family moved to Markham in 1964, and he graduated from Thornwood High School in South Holland in 1979, where he played basketball and football; he served in the military and attended the Public Affairs Officer Course at the Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, the Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Benjamin Harrison, and Military Officer Training at the Minnesota Military Academy; and

WHEREAS, Tyrone Kindle most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Coon Rapids High School in Coon Rapids, Minnesota starting in July of 2006; he also served as Dean of Students at the Plymouth Christian Youth Center from January 2001 to January 2006, as Director and teacher at The City, Inc. from January 1994 to January 2001, as Assistant Director at WCCO-TV from January 1995 to January 1996, and as master control operator at WFTC Channel 29 from January 1991 to January 1994; and

WHEREAS, Tyrone Kindle studied at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities from 2004 to 2005, where he received his administrative licensure, and at the University of St. Thomas from 2002 to 2005, where he received his Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching; he also attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior; and

WHEREAS, Tyrone Kindle was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Kindle; and

WHEREAS, Tyrone Kindle is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his children, Zarkari, Takina, and Nehemiah; his parents, Nathe and Herberdenia; his siblings, Rita McCune, Evelyn Pharms, Michael Kindle, Herberdenia Phillips, and Adolphus Kindle; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Joyce Plaman; his brothers-in-law, Brad (Jennifer) and Jeff (Tammy) Plaman; his faithful dog, Bella; his nieces and nephews, Dione Glenn, Sterling Jason McCoy, Kiana Phillips, Camille (Phillips) Slaughter, Kamilah Kindle-Jones, Kimberly Phillips, Chantia Kindle, Yoruba Pharms, Samantha McCune, Bailey Plaman, Michael Kindle Jr., Atukwe Kindle, Alyson Plaman, Malcolm Kindle, Isabela Plaman, Oliver Plaman, and Henry Plaman; and other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Tyrone Lawyer Kindle, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tyrone Kindle as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
