HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of George Douglas Hunter of Peoria, who passed away on May 13, 2016; and

WHEREAS, George Hunter was born on December 30, 1951 in Marion, Louisiana, to Jesse L. Hunter and Reva Lee; and

WHEREAS, George Hunter was employed as a painter with Painters Local #157 in Peoria for over 40 years; he also worked for Becker Construction; and

WHEREAS, George Hunter enjoyed racing and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, George Hunter was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; and

WHEREAS, George Hunter is survived by his wife, Martha William; his daughters, Tracy (Edward) Cagle, Felicia (Esau) Smith, Nicole Proctor, and Kimberly Williams; his son, Jules Williams; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sisters, Guthie and Linda; his brother, Jesse; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of George Douglas Hunter; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Hunter as an expression of our sympathy.
