SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

220 ILCS 5/5-108.5 new

Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that in the annual reports of water and sewer utilities that are submitted to the Illinois Commerce Commission, utilities shall separately disclose all revenues received by cell towers using utility property, associated costs, and such other information as the Commission may require of the utility. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding Section 5-108.5 as follows:

(220 ILCS 5/5-108.5 new)

Sec. 5-108.5. Report of revenue from cell towers. In the annual reports of water and sewer utilities that are submitted to the Illinois Commerce Commission, utilities shall separately disclose all revenues received by cell towers using utility property and associated costs, if any, incurred by the utility in providing this service to the cell towers, and such other information as the Commission may require of the utility.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
