HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Dakota Indians varsity football team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A State championship; and

WHEREAS, The Dakota Indians defeated Tuscola 41-27 to secure victory in the IHSA Class 1A State championship; the team ended their season with an incredible 12-2 record; and

WHEREAS, This victory marks only the third occasion that the Dakota Indians have won a State football title in the school's history; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Dakota Indians varsity football team are Rian Borgmann, Luke Geiseman, James Gregory, Brandon Last, Daniel Leitzinger, Nathaniel Smith, Andrew Sweet, Jake Apple, Kendall Lawson, Tyler Thompson, Austin Cashman, Tyler Townsend, Drew Geiseman, Neil Bruegger, Jake Meyer, Tyler Pieper, T.J. Quick, Lance McCauley, Drew Truckenmiller, Alec Kauffman, Joe Atansio, Chandler Lindsay, Nick Barker, Jordan Ketchum, Matt Ryan, Travis Kortemeier, Gavin Engelbrecht, Noah Monigold, Colin Ebbers, Matt Fosler, Skylar Boyer, Justin Schweickart, Zach Jansen, Ethan Fiene, Brett Willing, Connor Fleming, Alex Kolthoff, Colton Russell, Cody Rule, Austin Steinke, Ethan Lane, Zach Reed, Kody Miller, Daniel Mielke, Dakota Dennis, Andy Lampe, Steven Regez, Daniel VanFleet, Matt Bordner, Adam Lawson, Matt Lane, Drew Zellmer, and Zach Njos; the team's coaches are Jerry Lano, Britton Kauffman, and Dave Packer; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Dakota Indians varsity football team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Dakota Indians varsity football team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A State championship and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Dakota Indians varsity football team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
