SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

520 ILCS 5/2.5b new

Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that notwithstanding any provision of the Code, each opening weekend for every hunting season established by the Department of Natural Resources shall be at least 4 days long. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning wildlife.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section 2.5b as follows:

(520 ILCS 5/2.5b new)

Sec. 2.5b. Hunting opening weekend. Notwithstanding any provision of this Code to the contrary, each opening weekend for every hunting season established by the Department shall be at least 4 days long.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
