HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Brad Gould on being elected as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Illinois State Commander on June 15, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Brad Gould works as a Veteran Service Officer for the Champaign County Veterans Assistance Commission; he helps veterans file claims with the Veterans Administration and can help veterans with the GI Bill and VA loans; and

WHEREAS, In December 2018, Brad Gould was honored as one of the Bicentennial HONOR 200 by the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs and the Illinois Bicentennial Office; and

WHEREAS, On August 10, 2019, the Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold a Council of Administration, along with the Auxiliary in Bloomington, where members of the VFW from all over the State will honor Brad Gould and the State Auxiliary President; and

WHEREAS, Since his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Brad Gould has dedicated himself to helping veterans; he will spend his free time traveling the State in support of veterans; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Brad Gould on being elected as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Illinois State Commander, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Brad Gould as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
