HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Burdi Motorworks on 30 years of providing quality services for Mercedes-Benz drivers in the Schiller Park and Chicagoland areas; and

WHEREAS, Carmine A. Burdi's career started in 1969 with training and an apprenticeship at a Mercedes-Benz dealership located near Ulm, Germany; and

WHEREAS, Carmine Burdi moved from Italy to the United States in 1971; he worked for Chicagoland Mercedes-Benz dealerships as a technician; in 1991, he made the decision to open full time at his current location; and

WHEREAS, Carmine Burdi's sons, Carmine and Vince, continue his work by running the family business; Carmine works as the shop service manager, and Vince works in managing the auto body shop; their father ensures they "stay on top of things"; and

WHEREAS, The team at Burdi Motorworks offers a menu of options for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including inspections, specialty services for antique vehicles, fleet vehicle service, and more; and

WHEREAS, Burdi Motorworks is located near O'Hare Airport and rail stops and offers shuttle service to nearby transportation centers; and

WHEREAS, The team at Burdi Motorworks shares their knowledge to help maintain Mercedes-Benz vehicles through a Technician Blog, which provides advice on topics ranging from how to change the battery to how to improve gas mileage; and

WHEREAS, A family business committed to its craft, Burdi Motorworks is a valued business in the Schiller Park community, helping keep the important purchase of a Mercedes-Benz vehicle safe and sustainable; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Burdi Motorworks on 30 years of providing quality services for Mercedes-Benz drivers in the Schiller Park and Chicagoland areas; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be provided to Carmine A. Burdi, Carmine Burdi, Vince Burdi, and their family to congratulate them on this remarkable achievement.
