 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The sum of $17,500,000, or so  much  of  that
 5    amount as may be  necessary, is appropriated from the General
 6    Revenue  Fund  to  the  Department  on  Aging  to  provide  a
 7    $1-per-hour   wage   increase   for  Community  Care  Program
 8    homemakers.

 9        Section 99.  Effective date. This  Act  takes  effect  on
10    July 1, 2003.
