HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of John S.
4 Warrington of Springfield on March 30, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Warrington was born on August 17, 1929, in
6 Arkansas to Daniel Oliver and Ethel Ann Huckaby Warrington; he
7 married Dorothy Greenan on December 29, 1969, in Springfield;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed
10 with the State of Illinois from 1972 until his retirement in
11 1996 as a Stationary Engineer from the Office of the Secretary
12 of State; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He was a doorman for the Illinois House of
14 Representatives for the current General Assembly; he was a
15 member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and liked attending his
16 grandkids' sporting events; he enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals
17 and traveling; and
 
18     WHEREAS, John was a very outgoing, caring, gentleman who
19 loved to tell stories and spend time with his family,
20 especially his grandchildren; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Mr. Warrington has been deeply felt
22 by many, especially his wife, Dorothy Warrington; his sons, Dr.
23 John D. (wife, Christine) Warrington and Anthony Warrington;
24 his daughters, Patricia (husband, John) Dickinson and Deborah
25 (husband, Dave) Steinkuehler; his sister, Beady Eubanks; his
26 eight grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews; he was
27 preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters;
28 therefore, be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
2 we mourn the passing of John S. Warrington, and we extend our
3 deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and
4 loved him; and be it further
 
5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to his family as an expression of the sorrow we share
7 with his death; his smiling face will be missed by this Body.
