SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Rev. Dale A. Hauser, Jr. of Plainfield, who passed away on March 13, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Dale A. Hauser, Jr. was born on June 11, 1952 to Dale, Sr. and Doreen Hauser; he married Beth Nielsen on August 17, 1974, and together they had two sons, Dale and Timothy; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Hauser attended grade school and high school in Aurora; he graduated from Concordia River Forest in 1974 with a degree in education; in 1981, he graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary and began serving as Head of Theology at Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School; he also served part-time at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Hauser served Faith Lutheran Church in Pocatello, Idaho, for two years; he returned to Illinois to become the pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Onarga; during his twelve years at St. John's, he was the Interim Pastor for Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cissna Park and served two terms as Circuit Counselor in the Central Illinois District; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Hauser was very committed to Christian education; he was part of the Board of Directors of Christ Lutheran High School in Buckley and Christ Lutheran Academy in Plainfield; and he was President of the Board of Christ Lutheran High School for their first graduation in 2000; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Rev. Dale A. Hauser, Jr. will be felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Beth; his sons, Dale III (Jennifer Ruhl) Hauser and Tim (fiancee Amanda Berens) Hauser; his grandson, Dale Hauser IV; his parents Dale Sr. and Doreen; his sister, Diane (Terry) Jochum; and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with all who knew and loved him, the death of Rev. Dale A. Hauser, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rev. Dale A. Hauser.
