HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Robert Fraser of
4 Joliet on his retirement from the position of Director of
5 Management and Budget/City Treasurer for the City of Joliet;
6 and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mr. Fraser served the City of Joliet for 43 years;
8 in his retirement he plans on doing volunteer work with local
9 agencies and working in his home workshop; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Robert Fraser's previous positions include:
11 serving as Interim Executive Director, Housing Authority of
12 Joliet from December 11, 1990 to April 1, 1991; serving as
13 acting City Manager from 1964 to 1968 (combined with the
14 position of Comptroller); serving as Comptroller from January
15 1, 1964 to July 1, 1981; serving as Purchasing Agent from
16 January 1, 1963 to January 1, 1964; and serving as Deputy City
17 Collector from February 1, 1961 to January 1, 1963; and
 
18     WHEREAS, During his tenure with the City of Joliet, Robert
19 Fraser has had the privilege to work with eight City Mangers,
20 six Mayors, and 43 Councilmen and Councilwomen; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Robert Fraser is a graduate of Lewis University,

1 Class of 1962; he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in
2 Business Administration and a Minor in Political Science; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Robert Fraser is married to Barbara; they have
4 three children, Robert David II, Brent Alan, and Lynn Anne; and
5 they have three grandchildren, Madison, Payton, and Shelby;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
9 congratulate Robert Fraser and wish him the best as he enjoys
10 his retirement; and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to Robert Fraser as a symbol of our respect.
