HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Pastor Richard D. House and the members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Lockport on the 100-year church anniversary celebration; and

WHEREAS, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church was organized and built its first church in 1907 in Lockport; the membership began with several families and now has more than 700 members, and through the years the church has continued to grow, new ministries have been birthed, and new ministers have been ordained; and

WHEREAS, Shiloh has continued to provide a message of hope and service to the needs of its local residents, even reaching out and serving the greater Will County area; the church has empowered and strengthened families through faith, fellowship, and fun; and

WHEREAS, The vision of Pastor House is to go beyond the four walls of the church and make a greater impact in the community; Shiloh has purchased property to build a ministry complex with ministries to benefit all segments of society and is on a journey to bring the vision to reality by expanding their boundaries and answering the call of God to be a light on the "Hill" and surrounding regions; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Pastor Richard D. House and the congregation of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on this historical milestone; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Richard D. House, Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
