(20 ILCS 4124/3-5) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2026) Sec. 3-5. The Warehouse Safety Standards Task Force. (a) The Warehouse Safety Standards Task Force is created to study warehouse safety standards. The Task Force shall consist of the following members: (1) 2 members of the House of Representatives, |
| appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives;
|
|
(2) 2 members of the House of Representatives,
|
| appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives;
|
|
(3) 2 members of the Senate, appointed by the
|
|
(4) 2 members of the Senate, appointed by the
|
| Minority Leader of the Senate;
|
|
(5) one representative of an entity representing
|
| retail merchants, appointed by the Governor;
|
|
(6) one representative of an entity representing
|
| manufacturers, appointed by the Governor;
|
|
(7) one representative of an entity representing
|
| mayors, appointed by the Governor;
|
|
(8) one representative of the State Chamber of
|
| Commerce, appointed by the Governor;
|
|
(9) one representative of the American Federation of
|
| Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, appointed by the Governor;
|
|
(10) one representative of a labor union representing
|
| warehouse workers, appointed by the Governor;
|
|
(11) one representative of a worker advocacy
|
| organization representing warehouse workers, appointed by the Governor; and
|
|
(12) the Director of Labor or his or her designee,
|
| who shall serve as the ex officio chair.
|
|
(b) The members of the Task Force shall serve without compensation.
(c) The Department of Labor shall provide administrative support to the Task Force.
