Sec. 4.
It shall be the duty of the administrator of the shelter
care home and the staff of the detention home to receive all children
who are committed to the homes by the court, until further order of the
court, and to keep a complete record of all children residing therein,
which record shall contain the name, residence, address, and age of each
child, and the cause or reason for shelter care or detention, the length
of time sheltered or detained, the offense alleged to have been
committed by such child, if any, and other useful data or information
that may be directed to be kept by the county board. A record shall also
be kept by such administrator of all
expenditures made by the county for the care and maintenance of such
home. An annual report to the county board shall be made by December
1st in each year by the administrator who shall file a copy thereof
with the county clerk of the county. It shall contain an itemized
statement of all such expenses necessary to maintain such home, together
with the number of residents therein during each month. The county
board may at any time, demand, in which case it shall be the duty of the
administrator to furnish, such information as the county board may require
concerning the conduct, maintenance or residents of the home.
