Sec. 5.
Any member of the board of commissioners of the Chicago Park
District or any other person holding any other office, trust or employment
under such commissioners who shall be guilty of the wilful violation of any
of the provisions of this Act, shall be guilty of a business offense and
shall be fined not to exceed $10,000 and shall forfeit the right to his
office, trust or employment and shall be removed therefrom. Any such member
or other person shall be liable for any sum that may be unlawfully diverted
from such working cash fund or otherwise used, to be recovered by such
commissioners, or by any taxpayer in the name and for the benefit of such
commissioners, in an appropriate civil action: provided that such taxpayer
shall file a bond for the costs and be liable for all costs taxed against
such commissioners in such suit and judgment shall be rendered accordingly.
Provided, also, that nothing herein shall bar any other remedies.
