Sec. 12.
Employees-Aid by city.
The Board of Commissioners may employ such technical, professional, and
clerical assistants as are necessary and expedient for the proper
performance of its duties and for the accomplishment of the objects and
purposes of the Authority. The duties, salaries, fees, or other
compensation of any such employees shall be fixed and determined by the
Board of Commissioners.
For the purpose of aiding and cooperating with a Railroad Terminal
Authority, the City in which the Authority is organized may assign or loan
any of its employees, whether under Civil Service or not, to the Railroad
Terminal Authority to aid in the performance of any of the work of the
Railroad Terminal Authority, and may provide necessary office space,
equipment or other facilities for the Railroad Terminal Authority.
Any such employees so assigned or loaned who are members or
beneficiaries of any existing pension or retirement system or who have been
appointed to positions in the service of such City under rules and
classifications of any Civil Service Commission shall have the same status
with respect thereto after assignment to the Railroad Terminal Authority.
To facilitate the Railroad Terminal Authority in aid of any project
undertaken by it the City in which the Authority is organized may make
available to the Railroad Terminal Authority the services of its
engineering staff and facilities.
