(70 ILCS 1905/6) (from Ch. 114, par. 366)
Sec. 6.
Oath of
Commissioners.
Each person appointed as a member of the Board of Commissioners, shall
qualify by taking and subscribing to an oath to uphold the Constitution of
the United States and of the State of Illinois and to well and faithfully
discharge his duties, which oath shall be filed with the Secretary of the
Authority.
Commissioners shall be persons experienced in railroad operation, real
estate management, construction or finance. No person who is appointed as a
Commissioner of a Railroad Terminal Authority shall have a financial
interest in the creation of or in the continued existence of the Authority.
No Commissioner shall have or acquire any interest, direct or indirect, in
any contract or proposed contract of the Railroad Terminal Authority, or in
any land, building or buildings, or other property or facilities in which
the Railroad Terminal Authority has an interest. The ownership of stock or
any financial interest in or position with a railroad or other corporation
shall not disqualify any person as a Commissioner. If any Commissioner at
any time holds or controls an interest, direct or indirect, in any property
which the Railroad Terminal Authority is about to acquire, or if he
occupies a position with a railroad, he shall disclose the same in writing
to the Authority and such disclosure shall be entered upon the minutes of
the Board of Commissioners.
