(230 ILCS 10/7.14) Sec. 7.14. Chicago Casino Advisory Committee. An Advisory Committee is established to monitor, review, and report on (1) the utilization of minority-owned business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises by the owners licensee, (2) employment of women, and (3) employment of minorities with regard to the development and construction of the casino as authorized under paragraph (1) of subsection (e-5) of Section 7 of the Illinois Gambling Act. The owners licensee under paragraph (1) of subsection (e-5) of Section 7 of the Illinois Gambling Act shall work with the Advisory Committee in accumulating necessary information for the Advisory Committee to submit reports, as necessary, to the General Assembly and to the City of Chicago. The Advisory Committee shall consist of 9 members as provided in this Section. Five members shall be selected by the Governor and 4 members shall be selected by the Mayor of the City of Chicago. The Governor and the Mayor of the City of Chicago shall each appoint at least one current member of the General Assembly. The Advisory Committee shall meet periodically and shall report the information to the Mayor of the City of Chicago and to the General Assembly by December 31st of every year. The Advisory Committee shall be dissolved on the date that casino gambling operations are first conducted at a permanent facility under the license authorized under paragraph (1) of subsection (e-5) Section 7 of the Illinois Gambling Act. For the purposes of this Section, the terms "woman" and "minority person" have the meanings provided in Section 2 of the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Women, and Persons with Disabilities Act.
