Sec. 2.
As used in this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:
(a) "Telecommunication device for the deaf" means a teletypewriter or
other instrument for telecommunication in which speaking or hearing is not
required for communication.
(b) "Public Safety Agency" means any unit of local government or special
purpose district within the State which has authority to provide firefighting,
police, or other emergency services.
(c) "Department" means the Department of Human
Services.
(d) "Major public transportation site" means any airport or railroad
station in the State providing commercial rail or airline service to the
general public, that serves and is located within 20 miles of a municipality
with a population of 25,000 or more, except for any facility under the
jurisdiction of the Commuter Rail Division created by the Regional
Transportation Authority Act or the Chicago Transit Authority created by
the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act.
(e) "General traveling public" are individuals making use of the
commercial rail and airline services which are provided at major public
transportation sites.
